Just returned from our second visit to Villa Armas cabins, Akaslompolo...... Amazing time again - totally hooked on this place. The cabins are lovely and have everything you need - the big plus is the drying cupboard which is fantastic - all clothes dry in a few hours. Other facilities include : a dishwasher, tub washing machine, sauna, twin shower/wet... More

We stayed in the Villa Armas Cabins for what was our 4th visit to Yllas with Inghams. As someone has already mentioned the cabins are more or less 'what you see is what you get' so have a look in the brochure. The cabins are in an excellent location, close to the Akas Hotel, cross country tracks and lake. It... More

Villa Armas cabins are located 5 minutes walk from Akashotel where the ski bus stops. Cabins although located in a "square" are quiet and generally well equipped. They are clean and comfortable although not as high end as Maston Aitio cabins in Ruka. As mentioned before the pillows are a bit soft but certainly didn't affect my sleeping. What you... More

We [2 adults, boy 14, girl 12] stayed in cabin 50 Villa Armas 27 Dec 09 for 1 week with Inghams. As previously reviewed cabins are not traditional detatched but in groups but are very modern, clean and cosy. The reason we picked these was that we had 2 twin rooms and a double bed on the mezzanine, 2 separate... More

We stayed at the Villa Armas for our first ski holiday from the 5th - 12th April, which we were allocated cabin 46. The cabins do not look as pretty from the outside compared to the more traditional log cabins in the area, however once inside it was clean modern and spacious. Ideal for a family of 4. Downstairs we... More

We're just back from a week in the villa armas cabins (booked through Crystal - advertised in their brochure as Yllas log cabins - type E). We were a bit disappointed at first that unlike some of the others, the cabins are grouped in a couple of rows rather than dotted around the woods and aren't traditional log-built cabins. However,... We stayed at the Villa Armas cabins 1st-8th February 2009 and was well worth booking the self-catering log cabins. They were spotless and had everything you would expect and more....Double shower room, sauna, washer, dryer, microwave, dishwasher and super underfloor heating.....They had log fires too but the underfloor heating was sufficient enough and we never had the time to light... We went to Lapland for a week from 11th Jan 2009. We had an amazing holiday. There were 2 couple between 23-29. We really enjoyed the skiing due to the groomed slopes and lack of queues. There was plenty of other activities to do too (including watching the Northern Lights which was my favourite). We stayed in cabin 35 the... More

I booked this through lastminute for there 10th birthday at £97 each inc flight and hotel, although the deal was not to be sniffed at, I was dubious of living conditions...we arrived on 12th January for a weeks stay with a total of 6 people. I have to say, I and my traveling compadres were more than pleasantly surprised with... More

Luxurious and spacious are not words I would use to describe these cabins..BUT they are a great base to enjoy your holiday from in a fantastic location close to both the village centre, the Akas hotel with all its facilities, the medical centre and the bus stop for excursions and the ski centre. On arrival I was a little disappointed... More
