On our visit to Kaziranga we stayed at the very charming Wild Grass Lodge. The main building is an old Forest Lodge converted into a massive Dining Hall, retaining all the old furniture, fittings as well as pictures and artefacts. All guests usually gather here for their meals and get to share their experience of the days visit to the National... More

WE planned our trip on April 30th i mailed many hotels. HE WAS the only one who told us during our plan itself that the park closes on may 1st and he gave us a little different itinery. If he had not informed us the total trip would have been a total waste. They take care from even buying the... More

I had lot of expectationsfrom this hotel or lodge as it was praised a lot by my best friend. however this are the last two days of the season and kaziranga sanctuary is getting closed and will reopen in october. However this does not make this hotel good anyway. just the right word. Dont expect anything but worse and u... More

We stayed in Wild Grass Lodge for 10 nights in March 2012. I have to say I worried about the place not being too comfy after reading few reviews on this website. It was a lovely suprise! We booked the cheapest room in thatched cottage which was away from the main buildings and overlooked little local village. The room was... More

We stayed at Wild Grass for 3 days in December 2011. Other than good service and clean rooms and good food, Wild Grass has a number of very good guides. The person alloted to us, Tarun Gogoi was an expert on birds and pointed out a number of species which we would have otherwise missed. If you are planning a... More

I was booked in Bonhabi Resort for two nights which is very beautiful but the staff is very badly behaved so we thought of moving out the next day. Wild Grass has an old world charm. I heard that the resort is the oldest there. We really enjoyed our stay, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Small gestures by... More

With this hotel's guides we had by far the most incredible wildlife sightings I've had anywhere (compared to Peruvian Amazon, Brazilian Pantanal, and Kanha in India). We went on three jeep safaris (West, Central, and Eastern ranges) and one elephant safari. From the jeep there were endangered hog deer roughly every 7 minutes, endangered rhinos every 10 minutes, swamp deer... More

We (my parents, husband and I) visited Kaziranga in Feb 2012. This is a beautiful property tucked away from the main road. Infact, you may miss the turn as there is no signboard (unlike all the others whose hoardings are bigger than the resort itself). Wild grass is very cozy with a wonderful sitout next to the dining room -... More

Having heard so much about Wild Grass, we got there expecting a dyed in the wool "jungle wallah" getaway. But Wild Grass turned out to be more of an old world, village background setting. Nice, colonial feel place. But not a very "jungli" feel, if you know what I mean :) But to be fair, all the other resorts we... More
