A pleasant hotel but not the best. Main dinning room had a pleasant ambience, but the additional seating area was a bit like a canteen with a less than cosy atmosphere. Supposedly English speaking but only one waitress spoke some English...she really made an effort. Food ranged from disappointing to excellent. Two nights in succession the soup and gravey tasted... Some changes in service and better coordination would bring them one grade higher. There is a big difference between people in service.

We spent three nights there. İt is a traditional Austrian Hotel with nice food and amazing alpine view. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We had a corner room with plasma TV. There was also free Wi-fi. Madlener is a family run hotel. This feels more like a home than a hotel. The stuff was very friendly.
