I stayed at Monkey Mia Dolphin Lodge Backpackers for 3 nights in November 2011 and was very impressed. The dormitories were clean and tidy, beds comfortable and 2 lovely warm blankets provided per bed. The dorms are mixed sex dorms set around a communal kitchen and garden area. Good stuff: beds, location (the dolphins, feeding sessions and boat tours were... More

We stayed in as we were on the four day Monkey Mia trip with Western Xposure. It is clean, and the beds aren't so bad, however if your in a group make sure you get a bunk with ladders as a couple of the girls ladders faced the wall so they struggled to get up and down during the night.... More

did the Monkey Mia experience as part of a 3 day coach trip. Having travelled 850km from Perth in one day with just 2 toilet breaks and a lunch break, arriving at Monkey Mia was hugely anticipated. The superior lodge that we had booked was clean and very pleasant, with ensuite, fridge & tv. As you are basically trapped at... More

The Monkey Mia Dolphin Lodge has a wide range of accomodation options. From Beachfront villas, to hotel rooms, to backpacker dorms, to what we stayed in -- a grassy area for tents. Camping here was fine. There are two grass areas on which you can throw up a tent anywhere. It costs $14 per person. Powered tent / caravan sites... More

Being the ONLY place you can say to see the famous Monkey Mia dolphins, they naturally dig your eyes out with the price. But it dosent live up to the hype.. Dont think u can get anywhere near the dolphins, like u did in the good old days. They make u stand in a line (50ppl or 300ppl) and they... More

I was very dissappointed with our overall stay at Monkey Mia. The caravan site offered no shade and the white crushed shell surface (with no grassed areas) made the heat even worse. The toilet and shower blocks were far below the standard of other parks we have stayed in on the coral coast and desperately needed updating. They also didn't... More

There is an extra tax to enter the resort, 8 dollars per person per day. Reception was unmanned, with six of us waiting till someone eventually came out to check us in. The staff seemed irritated to be dealing with us. The rooms are nothing special. We paid for one of the "Beachside Dolphin Units", which were described as 'perfect... More

Stayed on the second floor beach side dolphin units (81 paces to bar). The view was outstanding. The resort was better than we expected & we wish we had stayed longer. Dolphin feeding is normally in the morning but the dolphins are around most of the time as well as lots of other sealife. The facililities were fantastic & the... More

My husband and I visited Monkey Mia in the winter of 2008 and loved the beautiful location. We booked a shared ensuite room to save money and it was a great decision. Nothing fancy in the room, but it was private and clean. The hotel is remote, so the staff is sometimes poor...I imagine they have a hard time getting... More

There is only one place available to stay in Monkey Mia and that is the mult-choice Dolphin Resort with its fancy Units, the basic Lodge and the Campsite. I have camped there twice and the camping facility is quite good. Lawn areas, nice kitchens, good showers, access to everything that everyone else at the resort gets. However in high season... More
