We found this hotel to be quaint and charming. The staff was very responsive. Sarah, the concierge, was especially helpful as we tried to find our way around the area. The restaurant was a pleasant surprise - delicious -- a great way to end the day. Although one review described the beds as "hard", I would say "firm" and very... More

We booked the hotel for 4 nights as a base for vvsiting both Rainbow magic land and Rome by using Frascati train station. We had a spacious room, comfortable bed, and clean reasonably sized and well designed bathroom. The major defect in nthe room was the outdated 14 inch size old TV, and worst of all, there were an exposed... More

If you like sleeping on the floor, you'll be satisfied with these extra firm twin beds pushed together to make a king. Don't order the breakfast unless you're expecting quality less than Waffle House. We were served bright orange, dry, cold, scrambled eggs and hot dogs, and cold, hard toast - inedible. When we explained that the breakfast was unsatisfactory... More

If you do not want to pay Rome rooming rates trying Villa Vecchia about 40 minutes (with traffic) outside of the city or drive 5 minutes to Frascati train station and pay 4Euro for a 30 minute ride into the city. The hotel itself has a nice ambiance with the "open air" common area. The restaurant was overpriced for the... More

We stayed at the Villa Vecchia on a trip booked through Sceptre Tours which included Rome, Tuscany and Venice. The deal was great, but one of the reasons was that the hotels that we stayed in all were on the outskirts of the cities. Frascati is a lovely suburb of Rome, up in the hills so you get a view... I just came home from a one week vacation in southern Italy that ended with two nights at the Hotel Villa Vecchia. This was a lovely, quiet hotel located about 1 mile from Frascati. It was an easy walk to town time-wise but the sidewalk was narrow and uneven. The hotel offers a shuttle service to town at a cost... More

Overall we were satisfied with our stay here. The rooms were clean and a decent size, big bathroom. The restaurant is downstairs though and lacking in ambiance.Food was ok. If you leave in the morning (sun) it only took 30 min to drive to the airport. They have a shuttle but you need to book in advance. The Pope's summer... More

Nice old house with spacious rooms. Only some rooms have Internet. Restaurant and breakfast below average. Good setting for conference in nearby villas, but difficult to reach from airport or center of Rome (taxi needed).

This hotel has an excellent location on the outskirts of Rome. The staff and food were both very good. The porterage was excellent. Would recommend this hotel.

My husband and I very much enjoyed our stay at Hotel Villa Vecchia. Our room was spacious, quiet, and pleasant with beautiful views. Service was excellent. The full breakfasts (which were included in the room price) were very good, including hot and cold meats, eggs, cheeses, and delicious pastries. The hotel restaurant also served very good dinners. We appreciated having... More
