Traveled with 5 friends - we had a great time. Open, Friendly and Welcoming - the staff arranged our hiking trip and arranged for us our other meals which allowed us to have a stress free weekend. I would recommend On the Corner to anyone exploring Western Ukraine. When traveling in Ukraine can often be difficult, staying at On The... More

Two friends and I were traveling through Romania and Ukraine (to do some self-discovering and find some long lost relatives) and we were lucky enough to stay at On The Corner! Vitaily and his family are incredibly accommodating, nice, generous people who run an amazing bed and breakfast. I couldn't recommend it enough. Vitaily even accompanied me and my friends... More

During our exploration of western Ukraine "On the Corner Guesthouse" proved to be a welcoming stopover. Located within easy walking distance of Kolomiya's many interesting attractions. Our gracious hosts Vitaly and Anna provided for our every need. Picking us up from the train station late at night. Fussing over us like a mother hen when we arrived in ill-health. Organising... Vitaly is definitely the most gracious host that I have ever encountered in any of my travels around the world. He effectively rents the upstairs rooms of his house to travellers but then welcomes you to the entire house and family. He offered us a limited edition unfiltered beer and delicious smoked cheese as we chatted with him and his... More

From walking into the front door, I IMMEDIATELY felt warm, cozy, and right at home with Vitaily and his family. The coffee was fresh and good (no Nescafe here...beans right from Italy), the dinners and breakfasts were homemade and tasty, and the conversation was plentiful! Vitaily is such and interesting person and polyglot (English, German, Russian, and Ukrainian...his mother speaks... More

My girlfriend and I loved this place. Be sure to take an excursion into the Carpathians and surrounding area. Our guide was obviously passionate about the history and culture of the area. We learned a lot, and saw some beautiful sights. The guesthouse itself is warm, friendly, clean and comfortable. The food is good and the people are great. Definitely... More

I have not words to express what a wonderful stay I had here. Knowledge, hospitality, cleanliness and food beyond reproach. I was really sad to not be able to stay longer with such a special family. Western Ukraine is wonderful

We stayed with Vitaly and Anna (and mom Ira) for two nights, in pursuit of our Jewish roots search. The food was wonderful (even for a special request such as vegetarian), the company and conversation very collegial, the place immaculate. Vitaly went out of his way...he picked us up at the train station after 9PM (and dinner was waiting for... More

I agree with all the previous reviews: the hospitality, the guided tours, the food--everything was outstanding! One thing that I would add--this place is family- and kid-friendly. My wife and I traveled with our one-and-a-half-year-old and stayed in the "lux" room with an en-suite bathroom. Our son could roam around the common areas freely and was treated by the hosts... More

Lonely Planet says this may be the best accommodation in Ukraine. We can't disagree! Value for money was superb. We arrived unannounced and called to see if there was space. Vitaliy picked us up at the bus station, made at least three trips for us to sort out other ticket issues, gave us a breakfast while we were waiting for... More
