Other reviews cover off what the lodge offers/does, so I'll just say that our stay at this lodge was relaxing and a lot of fun. It's not deep in the amazon so it's a good introductory for those who don't want to stay in an expensive lodge but aren't prepared to rough it in the amazon yet.

Liana lodge is an excellent facility run by people who clearly care greatly for the environment it is set in. Being collected by a canoe and taken down river to the lodge is everything you expect of an amazon adventure. A stay typically includes all meals, breakfast, lunch and dinner, which are prepared to a very high standard. Portions are... More

Liana Lodge is not a luxury hotel. There is no electricity in the cabins (candles are provided) nor hot water in the sinks. The cabins are duplexes with open ceilings between, so you will probably hear your neighbors if the other room is occupied. Otherwise, Liana is a charming eco-lodge on the river in the jungle. The food is good,... More

We stayed at Liana lodge for two nights and three days. We took two buses and a canoe(5mins) to get to the lodge from Quito. The journey was long but fun. Make sure you confirm your reservation and time of arrival once you are in Quito and Tena. The food was great, the bar had yummy cocktails at reasonable prices.... More

We stayed there two nights. When we got to their parking place before heading to the lodge by boat, we were surprised by how dirty it was. We were very happy to see how opposite the actual place was. We liked the fact that there was no electricity in our room. We had great and plentiful food. One of the... More

We came here on a whim while traveling through Ecuador. It was definitely a highlight of the trip. Getting to the lodge is an experience in itself. The canoe ride really makes you feel like you are going somewhere very secluded. The food was wonderful...I looked forward to every meal. I recommend going on a jungle hike. You will see... More

The staff at Liana lodge were very welcoming, the rooms were fabulous and the food was plentiful. We saw loads of monkeys and birds and insects on the different tours as well as all the animals at Amazoonico. The only slightly annoying thing was the extra expenses for extra tours. It was advertised as 3 days and 2 nights but... More

We loved this place but didnt see any animals (except at zoonica). Food/ambience was wonderful, but we expected to hear more jungle sounds and see some animals. we will return to the jungle, but to a place deeper in the jungle.

Fantastic experience, getting there from Quito required a bus then canoe down the river into the jungle. Great food, wonderful atmosphere in the dining room. A visit to the animal refuge is a must and a worthy donation.Falling asleep after blowing out the candles ( and checking the bed for spiders and bugs)listening to the jungle noises if fantastic experience.... My husband and I felt at home in the Rainforest at Liana Lodge. It was a spiritual place surrounded my jungle on the banks of the river. From the moment we arrived, we knew this was a special place. The jungle hike was fascinating (though our guide lacked enthusiasm). Amazoonica proved to be a very worthy refuge. The visit to... More
