I was torning in giving this hotel a full score despite its almost perfect traits but I have to deduct something out of it. The good side about this hotel is that it is a nice chateau with cute garden. You would feel like you step back in time driving into the property. The chateau overlooks a valley with lots... More

We first stayed here 10 years ago, so when it came time for my wife's 50th birthday I was looking for something very special, some of the options were Monaco, Madrid or even London! We flew into Nantes rather than Paris and enjoyed a leisurely drive down to Loire valley to the chateau. I was a little concerned that things... More

What a wonderful stay we had in Chateau d'Artigny. We were there three nights and enjoyed every aspect of it all. The approach itself was worth the price: you are sort of out in the French country and turn into a beautifully kept wooded, twisting, fairy-tale woods; then you are hit with the formal garden and facade of a lovely,... I stayed one night in this superb hotel while on business. It was spectacular. Perfect for a romantic weekend or a few days in the Loire valley. Their rates are very reasonable. My only comment would be that the rooms are not very sound proofed. Would highly recommend this property in any case.

Located just outside the village of Montbanzon and nesteled in a deep and dark forest that suddenly reveals the beautiful building. My first impression was fantastic but that's it. We arrived late and nobody was around just a lady in the reception area, that was really confused about her duties. We booked a superior room because we were in honeymoon... More

One must be immersed in magic and the closest you will come to spending a night in a royal chateau is to check into the Château d’Artigny. This special hotel stands on the banks of the River Indre - a tributary of the Loire - just south of the city of Tours. The titantic, former home of the perfumer François... More

We stayed here September 17th and 18th. We booked through Small Luxury Hotels of the World and received a room upgrade. The Chateau is charming, the public rooms, restaurant, bar etc are beautiful. Our room was a duplex in the Spa building, very comfortable, But the place does need to be refurbished. The chairs in the bar and the rooms... More

To put that in perspective, we cruise on the the silver sea, this trip is first class around the word and our income is in the top 1% but we always look for value. Nothing amuses me more than travelers who complain about their accommodation and when you ask where do you normally sleep it is in a pretty normal... More

First off all, the castles exterieur is obviously good looking. We went for a weekend for a wedding at the chateau. The chateau is also beautiful inside, with high cealings. But the hotel has not been renoveted for ages, the rooms are outdated as well as the bathrooms. This is NOT an luxury in any way - nothing is included... More

If you want the experience of staying in a grand old chateaux - this is the place for you. The rooms are dated and in need of refurbishing, but somehow that adds to the charm. Kind of like staying at Mona Desmond's place on Sunset Blvd. It's probably a little over-rated, but if you keep in mind WHAT it is,... More
