We recently stayed here whilst attending a wedding in the local area. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome. We enjoyed a lovely lunch and then checked into our room. The room was very nice and the bed was extremely comfy! Breakfast was fab, cereals were available followed by a full English breakfast. We really... More

The atmosphere was lively and everyone their seemed to be having a lovely time like ourselves. We... More

Have eaten at the Egerton Arms a few times and found it satisfactory. But on our last visit, my wife ordered the vegetable dim sum (clearly marked as vegetarian on the menu). She bit into one, which didn't seem particularly vegetable in nature. On checking with the landlord, who in turn checked with the kitchen, it transpired that the ingredients... More

I've staied at the Egerton in a number of times, on my business trips in the area. The Egerton has been renewed some time ago, the building has a touch of real England, and the rooms are cozy warm and very comfortable. The owners are very friendly to accomodate your needs and have a chat with you. Always real ales... More

The service on first arriving was good as they kept the restaurant open for us for an extra 10min as we were late arriving. When it came it wasn't worth it at all, microwaved, plastic rubbish. Breakfast was no better. Really poor quality produce was used and it made for what felt like a bloated start to the day. We... More
