Going to keep this short folks, returned again to celebrate my birthday this year and hopefully will head back next year. Stayed in the main house again, this time in the main suite. Room and bathroom gorgeous with patio doors from the room into the roof terrace! Food was great again, and staff were brilliant. Can't beat the location and... More

With perhaps the best coastal situation in the UK and now with facilities and a cuisine to match, this is very fine hotel indeed. The staff will pamper you and you will struggle to select items from a menu at dinner - or breakfast - that offers so much and delivers handsomely. A stroll outside takes you down to the... More

Hotel couldn't have been better. stayed there for one night to celebrate my husband's birthday. Views were stunning, food excellent and the staff very helpful. Stayed in the Cedar wing and to be able to wake up to the wonderful views was memorable. The gardens are worth a visit. We will definitely be returning to the Loch Melfort hotel, it... More

Many thanks for taking the time to write a review. I am sorry that your son did not find much to entertain him. It is a shame because my children love being outdoors, enjoying paddling in the sea, crabbing and exploring down by the rocks and we have been having such lovely weather here these past few weeks. Lunga riding... More

Stayed here with friends during the last weekend in March for the second time. Once again the hotel didn't disappoint. Food was excellent and we were looked after by friendly local staff. It is a fantastic location and somewhere that you could just keep going back to. Our first visit we stayed in the cedar wing this time it was... More

The position of the hotel looking down Loch Melfort and out to numerous islands is unbeatable, particularly on an evening as fine as when we stayed recently. The accommodation on the upper floor of the cedar wing was excellent with a balcony to sit and enjoy the view. The National Trust for Scotland garden at Arduaine is next to the... More

Many thanks for taking the time to write a review and we are so glad you enjoyed your stay and our spectacular views! We understand your quibble with credit card charge, although in our own experience charges of this nature are common place throughout the accommodation and travel sectors of the industry. We had a 2 night break in April on a kgb deal and were really happy with our stay. The rooms in the Cedar wing are comfortable and clean - although we were a little surprised by the brown water - but all was explained by the literature as they have a private water supply. We stayed- with our dog-... More

There are many varied and diverse thoughts on 3 star hotels.... from 'passable' to 'good value'... Which is why I had to ask the owner of ths hotel "Why are you only rated 3 star? I've just spent a weekend in a 5 star hotel in Geneva, at an exorbitant price, and this place beats that experience by miles...." Turns... More
