I stayed, on a trip without agency, in Hotel Playa Blanca, which is nice and friendly, mainly french Canadian guests, animations, old bikes can be taken for a short ride (longer rides difficult with these bad bikes). We went to this island last year. Beautiful beaches but not at the hotel, you havet o take ride on a train about 30 minutes on bumpy and dusty road, but again well worth to see it. Was here in Jan/Feb and as usual delighted with hotel and staff. The beach problem continues in that changes have made walking to beach difficult . Preferring the clothing optional beach it does mean some extra effort...but worth it. The courteous staff is one highlight especially the staff in the dining rooms.
