Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The cabin was fairly new. Very quiet and comfortable. The staff was very helpful. The pool is large with a cover over it. We enjoyed our stay. The only issue was that the airconn took a long time to cool off the cabin. We just kept it on and we were comfortable.

Had one night there but should have stayed at Cahills crossing . The room was very basic, had the old box air conditioner, which hardly worked & it was a very hot night. I could not recommend this place except for the pool. The cost for a stuffy Donga was ridiculous @ $179/night. The fan sounded like a helicopter was in the room. Could not recommend this place, try somewhere else.

I really enjoyed staying at Aurora. The bungalow was lovely, clean with good facilities. The staff were helpful and friendly and I enjoyed dinner around the pool, and the food was great. The property is well maintained and I will definately come back. Highly recommend coming here.

A perfect way to start an amazing adventure into Kakadu. The Art Gallery in Jabiru is a must visit too, showcasing mind blowing art in all forms. The pool is great for an afternoon cool down before a visit to Cahils Crossing and Ubirr. Standing on rocks that we know have been walked on for thousand of years is incredible. I highly recommend staying in Jabiru rather than bypassing it. It has a lot of history to offer, and if you look into the history of Jabiluka and Ranger Uranium mines, the fight for the preservation of this World Heritage must be remembered. I highly recommend Aurora ... the poolside dinner was a delight also.

Our stay at Aurora Kakadu Lodge was an exceptional experience that deserves nothing less than a five-star review. We based ourselves here for a thrilling 4-day barramundi fishing adventure, and it turned out to be the perfect choice. Firstly, let's talk about the pool. The Kakadu weather can be scorching, and the pool at the lodge was a true lifesaver. After long days out on the water, it provided us with a refreshing oasis to unwind and cool off. The real highlight, though, was the bistro. The chefs there worked wonders with the barramundi we caught. It was a true delight to see our fresh catches turned into mouthwatering dishes. In fact, all the food at the lodge was fantastic. In summary, Aurora Kakadu Lodge not only served as our perfect base for barramundi fishing but also as a welcoming and comfortable haven. We can't recommend this place enough for anyone looking to experience the beauty of Kakadu National Park while enjoying top-notch accommodation, dining, and hospitality. Five stars all the way!

We stayed in a cabin at Aurora Kakadu Lodge. The cabin was clean, comfortable and had everything you would expect. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They even helped us with an early check-in on the day we arrived so that we could go and see Cahills Crossing at high tide. The airconditioner being on and the room cool was a really nice touch for us hot, weary travellers. Nice pool as well. Definitely recommend.

We stayed here for three nights then went to the resort further south. We found this one much quieter and calmer. They don't take bookings here, just show up, pay your money and pick your site. This was great as we weren't sure how long we wanted to stay so no need to move to another site. Amenities are clean, pool was huge and the bistro was great. Whilst in town, stop in at the art gallery!
