As a local (I live 2 minutes down the road) I eat at the Cott a couple of times a month. The food is CONSISTENTLY very good. Since it has been taken over by the present owners, it has become my favourite pub / restaurant. Would like to correct a comment that states that the pub burnt to the ground... More

Me and my wife stayed and dined at the cott for our wedding anniversary. The manager went out of his way to help make it special, we each had three faultless causes in the bar area which had a lovely atmosphere with a good selection of wine and local ales. We will be returning to book a party in there... More

Just had the fabulous fish and chips deal at the Cott Inn. It was delicious. The fish was tender and beautifully cooked in a light, crispy batter; the chips were 'real', home-made chips. In the wonderful surroundings that the Cott has to offer, along with Mark's usual, brilliant hospitality, we had a great evening. Recommend 100%.

We booked into The Cott Inn, with friends, for a few days to go to a wedding in the local area. It was fantastic, and we will certainly be making a return visit. The rooms had just been refurbished and were great. Very comfortable with nice big beds, beautifully decorated and with all of those extra touches that make a... More

Visiting family in Dartington, so excellent location for us, but the Cider Press centre is only a short stroll away and you could walk to Totnes. The bedrooms have been tastefully redecorated and updated. It was great to enjoy a comfortable stay in a traditional 'Inn'. Excellent breakfast and we enjoyed dinner on both nights. The noise from the pub... More

We visited our daughter for the weekend and were impressed by the quality of our room and the food at the Cott Inn. We were made to feel very welcome and the newly refurbished rooms were clean, well furnished and comfortable. The food was good value and the menu varied. We will certainly visit again soon.

Popped in today for a quick soup, soup wasnt the best, and served in very shallow "plate " dishes, so was only a few mouthfulls, and was only luke warm. I did mention this to the lad that served me, and he said he would mention this to the chef, but had no feedback from him. , Having said all... More

Stayed for one night on business locally. Room was fab, with a really comfy bed - one of the Concorde I've ever slept in in fact! I think all the rooms have been refurbished, so shoul all be of the same excellent standard. Rooms are above the pub, so I thought there might be some noise, but I didn't notice... More

The Cott Inn boasts that it's been licensed since the year 1320. Apparently it was an unlicensed shebeen for a while before that. A couple of years ago I tried to take two friends to the Cott for lunch. The kitchen was closed and the whole place looking a bit the worse for wear. Very disappointing. So I was delighted... More
