Great place for a refreshing pint of real ale at the end of a long walk. The Grassington Landlords Bitter has a good strong hoppy flavor. Also boasts a nice restaurant at affordable prices. Situated in a beautiful village in Wharfedale. Pleasant and polite staff. Clearly popular with the locals and with visitors. Comfortable seating.

Great location, very friendly staff, lovely breakfast . Stayed mid week and the value for money was absurdly good. Only slight issue was poor TV reception, could only get ITV and I don't much like ITV!

We stayed at the Black Horse for two nights at the end of the first week of May and were extremely happy with our choice having found the hotel online and read the previous reviews. As soon as we stepped through the door we were greeted with a warm welcome by the young man who booked us in and carried... More

My wife and I stayed for two nights over the Bank Holiday weekend with friends. We all had a great time. The food was very good as was the service. We had a large well appointed and very clean room. The bar is very nice and country pub ish with a good selection of beers. We ate in the restaurant... More

We had three double rooms booked for our second night on the Dales Way. We were booked in by helpful, cheerful staff. Our rooms had recently been refurbished to a high standard. The dinner menu was varied and offered good value for money. Breakfasdt was excellent and the packed lunches we ordered were very welcome later in the day

Called in for an evening meal after the first leg of the Dales Way. The food was good and a good portion size and there was a nice selection of guest beers. It was busy for a wet Wednesday and a nice atmosphere.

I was booked into the Black Horse on the 10th May along with four other friends. Our intention was a walking/cycling weekend in the Dales. I stayed in a single room the other two shared two twins. The last time I stayed in this hotel was during 1976 when I came with friends for a walking weekend. If my memory... More

I stayed here with my family whilst doing the way of the roses. The room was nice however it was right above the pub lounge where karaoke was booming until the early hours (sounded like strangled cats). We had a meal in the pub which was very average. I'm not sure I'd return any time soon.
