Had a great few days here, made to feel very welcome and at home, very good food and very comfortable room. Lovely view out to the sea from the dining room - big help in planning our days out, depending on the height of the waves! We arrived late on the first evening, and had a meal cooked for us.... More

Stopped with family for an evening meal. The food was terrific, the children had great fish and chips, my wife had the nut roast and I had the venison burger. We were all very impressed with the food and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming- would happily recommend.

A bright, warm, well-appointed bedroom with a far-off view, for a few moments, of a black and white coaster on a strip of the Atlantic … and a foreground of dark igneous knurls erupting through rough bog and grazing, leavened by the hotel-farm vegetable garden, surprisingly sophisticated for early March; for supper, hotel-farm-raised pork, local mussels and homemade bread-and-butter pudding:... This was our second visit to Sonachan. Our first experience was a while ago and it was wonderful. Having read some of negative reviews submitted since, I was worried that it had all gone drastically wrong and we were a little bit nervous about returning! Don't get me wrong, if you're expecting 5 star, city standards with 24 hour reception/room... More

Me and my partner stayed here in a motorhome, owner (Helen) was kind enough to let us stay overnight as we needed a stop of place in the area. We had a lovely fresh cooked meal, some of the items on the menu where sold out, but this is something you need to expect when its local produce in a... More

Our stay at the hotel had alot of highs including good food, with a menu that changed daily, clean modern room and beuatiful views accross the glen. The only low point for us was the water supply was stopped due to blocked filters at 10am and couldnt be turned on again until 7pm due lack of staff training, this is... More

We have only been here for food and drinks so can not comment on the actual hotel. The food is a little pricy but is very good. The fish and chips are particularly good with hand cut chips and a great batter. Draught beer is limited but there is a fair selection of bottles. Service is ok when they are... More

We went for a family meal here while staying locally in this stunning location . The food was poor, service slow and the hotel was dirty. It is complacency on a large scale as the hotel has no competition.
