From Tarsus I took a pullman bus to Silifke and stayed at the Arisan hotel for 40 YTL, shared bathroom, although very clean, I stayed three nights. I took an independent day-trip to Narliuyu and Kizkalesi from Silifke. From Silifke I took a pullman bus to Konya for 30 YTL. Konya is where the museum of Rumi is located
When getting on a sort of Fred flinstone road with our bikes it began to rain. Two working men offered us a lift to the next city. They stopped at this hotel, whcih they were not familiar with.
The price was 35 lira for two perons, without breakfast. However, you can get this on the other side of the road....

We stayed 2 nights in Silifke at the Arisan. It is listed in the Rough Guide to Turkey, so we thought we would give it a go. It is 2 minutes walk from the Otogar [bus station] and we were arriving by bus, so it seemed perfect. The hotel itself is a comfortable 5-10 minute walk to the town centre....
