We have visited this site five times now - some one or two nights, one for five nights. Very good facilities, helpful staff (especially booking a vet for our two dogs on our return journeys). Site always well kept

Booked this site. Received an automated response, that they would confirm a booking the following day. No confirmation was sent and as we only booked 6 days before departure we decided not to wait in case we were to late to book at another site. I dont think it unreasonable to expect a reply within 24hrs. If the service is... More

This was our first touring holiday in France and we were recomended this site by our well travelled friends. A very attractive and well maintained site with lots of facilities, excellent staff and good pitches. You have to get used to the mixed toilets and showers, but hey this is France! We used it has a starting and finishing point... More

Thank you for your review, We are aware that the farmer’s method of keeping the birds away is a nuisance and scares dogs. There isn’t much we can do about it; the law states that he is allowed to use his bird scaring machine. Luckily he doesn’t use it all the time and we are very vigilant as to what... More

this was our first stay at this site,we were booked in by keycamp holidays, due to unforseen circumstances we arrived without a car,the staff in the reception at la bien assise main office were excellant .for a week they printed out all bus route etc ,phoned taxies for us and were so helpful in every way it made an otherwise distressing... We have stayed here five times in the last year; Guines has become an eagerly anticipated start to any holiday. A lovely night here in mid-April, when it was almost deserted (and VERY wet), lived up to expectations, and we had a wonderful meal in the restaurant. So, absolutely no criticism of the site, but when we rang to enquire... More

Thank you for your review, I understand your frustration and am very sorry for the way you were spoken to on the phone. We had a student on work experience with us at that moment, and I believe it was her who took your booking. Although, I am glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay and the meal in... More

As usual we only stayed for one night for the tunnel next morning. This time we found that the better/ drier pitches were given to motorhomes, caravans were piched on small very wet pitches. We were told the electricty was in the bushes, the tap was down the road and the showers were over there. All this and we were charged 10EURO'S... More

Thank you for your review. On our site, we only have four hard standing pitches which are given to very heavy motor homes to avoid them getting stuck in the mud as they are the most difficult (or impossible!) for us to tow with our tractor. The other 194 pitches are grass. In April it rained nonstop for weeks, so... More

We have stayed here a few times now, usually overnight, but we would have no hesitation stying for longer as there is quite a lot to do around, including lots of quite roads for cycling. The town/village is close by and in easy walking distance and there is a Carrefour supermarket close by too, plus restaurants in local villages. It... More

We have stayed on this site each year over the past 24 years, the earlier part of our stays was with our children who are now all grown up and they also have fond memories of their time at La Bien Assise. We have returned today after a weeks stay in what can only be described as the wettest period... More

The campsite is nice but nothing outside apart from a little village that shuts up early. The bar man is very rude not very helpful at all he is the one with the ginger hair in a pony tail. Over all if its just for one night its worth staying anything over that I wouldn't.

We are very sorry you feel that our barman was rude to you. This is not how we expect our staff to behave, and invite you to contact us directly to discuss this matter with us via email (castels@bien-assise.com) as we take this very seriously. As for things to do, we are located in the small village of Guînes, which... More

Having visited Bien Assise 5 times with our RV, it has become a firm favourite with great staff for whom nothing is too much trouble, excellent facilities with a pool and a lovely restuarant serving traditional French quisine. We look forward to returning in July on our way to and from Normandy.
