Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed a month at Howard Springs and could not have been happier. It is a little way out of Darwin but it’s an easy drive in. The staff were very friendly and so helpful with our fridge issues The amenities are great and kept spotless. Particularly loved the pools and even had a play in the water park. Cannot recommend Big 4 Howard Springs highly enough

The double room with queen size bed was excellent and the air-conditioner worked well. Kitchette was adequate for a couple but microwave was showing its age. We needed to install a power board to get sufficient outlets to charge our devices such as mobile phone chargers, 240 V lead to the fridge in our car and torch battery charger. The swimming pool was very nice and well maintained. Afterhours check-in was easy and room air-conditioner was running when we arrived which was really nice as it was very hot evening. The park is located close to an excellent family orientated hotel (Howard Springs Hotel) that serves great meals. A general store and fuel outlet is also very handy. The park is a fair way out of town with the run into Darwin taking about 15-20 minutes. The surroundings are quite and the park is shady with many mature trees in the park. My wife and I would recommend it to families but maybe not to younger travellers who are seeking night-life action.

Staff were bery helpful whenever I needed nything. The pool is great and not a large amount of screaming kids. I will go back. Much better than Freedom Spirit who only want to rip you off! Only a short walk to the Howdy for a beer and food,

We stayed in a 1 bedroom villa for 2 weeks! Overall the park was quiet and Pool was good! Cabin was very small. Small TV. No couch to sit on only hard white chairs. The Cabin was very old and needs an update. Bathroom was small and needs an update! My husband cleaned the air conditioner vents as they were very dirty! When we left I checked under the bed to see if anything was left! I wish I hadn't! The dust and dirt under the bed was disgusting! There were a couple of old socks also under the bed. Won't be staying again

We have stayed at Howard quite a few times, rarely disappointed, staff super friendly and helpful. It is our go-to park when we visit Darwin. While the park is out of Darwin, it is very secluded and peaceful. The drive in is easy and quick.
