This is a very good luxury all-suite hotel at the south shore of Miyakojima, a bit on the mountain but very close to the beach.
Service is professional.
Rooms face the ocean, they are clean, no strange smell, and beds are comfortable. Breakfast has lots of selection though is not that special.

We stayed at the Shigira from Nov 7 to 9 for a long 2 nights weekend getaway from crowded and cold Tokyo.
The resort , which doesn't look anything like most of the ugly concrete-box type Japanese beach hotels, in style and architecture is fashioned after other SE Asian resorts and boasts spectacular ocean views and sunrises.
