Getting to the Lodge is quite a long journey from Delhi. However I had an excellent driver who was very knowledgeable. The service provided by all staff at the Lodge was excellent. Mosti, my room attendent was very helpful. Dipu, my naturalist and dinner companion was very knowledgeable and passionate about all things Indian. Sadat who sat down with me...

This beautiful beautiful lodge is worth visiting. And if you can get advance booking to see tigers via elephant, you must do so. If you wait until you get there, there's little chance to arrange this. The accomodations are little mud houses, all your own, with lovely courtyards and fabulous beds and baths.
The food is exquisite. Comparable to the...

Bandhavgarh National Park is undoubtedly a god destination for viewing tigers ,although we only saw one during our 5 days there, we heard several growling in the undergrowth. We stayed at Mahua Kothi billed by Cox & Kings as "a luxury boutique" safari camp. In fact the cottages are rather dull externally and in unimpressive surroundings with no views, although the...

Getting to Bandhavgarh is a bother. You have to first get to Delhi , then take a turbo prop to Jabalpur and then a 3 hour drive to the resort. However, for Tiger enthusiasts Bandhavgarh probably has the best chance of a sighting in India. In Bandhavgarh, Mahua Kothi is probably the best place to stay. Managed by the Taj...

We have now been on 11 safaris all over the world and Allwyn was without doubt one of the best guides we have had. He was faultless in his knowledge and his enthusiasm thrilled us all - and he...

Another perfect &Beyond property joined together with Taj hotels. After many stays in Africa at the luxurious &Beyond properties I knew they would not disappoint, Mahua Kothi is perfection in India.
The attention to detail impeccable, starting with the lavish (never-want-to-leave) kutiyas (jungle village huts) with the warm welcoming petal covered bubble bath surrounded by candles to be enjoyed after...

We booked this place directly contacting TajSafaris telephone number in Mumbai and they handled the booking efficiently. They gave a contact, Mr. Sajid for arrangement of car pick up from Jabalpur and drop to Katni Railway Station. This guy was very efficient in making these arrangements. Before, we started the journey, Tajsafaris wanted some details like the passport copy, authorization...

This was our second trip to an &Beyond property and we absolutely loved it! Every single comment is picked up and reacted to. We mentioned that we were avoiding fresh vegetables because of health worries. After this every salad involved only grilled vegetables. The rooms are large. We visited in December and were pleasantly surprised to find the mattresses heated...
