Shipra Residency is a oldish but decent hotel that has been around for a while. Seems to be one of the better hotels in the Ujjain area. The rooms are oldish, service reasonable and the food decent. The restaurant was reasonable for the class of city and the staff courteous.

Ujjain is not a clean town. Found Shipra residency to be the only good place . The rooms were spacious and well-maintained and the staff courteous and well trained. We really din't have food at the resturant there, so cannot comment on the food. Most importantly it is a safe place for women travelling by themselvs.

We selected Hotel Shipra Residency for our 3 days stay at Ujjain. We took 2 rooms for 4 peoples. The rooms were not according to our choice. Maintenence was not so good. Hotel lacks cleanliness and looks. But the food was good. Staff members were very helpful and nice in nature.

The hotel is a government tourism hotel; the room selected was the suite, which is quite spacious. Although the rooms and bathrooms were average in cleanliness, the 'spark' was missing - it was evident it was a govt. hotel. The service of the staff was also very put on. Good enough for a night's stay.
