This renewed/new hotel is getting ready to open up. I think it could be one of the best in Mwanza. The new wing has great rooms. the view of this part of mwanza is really nice. The rooms at Monarch hotel are actually reasonable value. We paid 25,000 shillings for a pleasant room with english television. The major problem was the staff. They are rude and tried to over charge us at every opportunity. After staying one night we wanted to keep the room for 5 hours past check out. We we're told we had to... More
