I just loved the Old Vicarage in Kellington, what a charming house and hostess. Christina made us very welcome and the rooms were lovely. The breakfast was good and I would go back again any time to stay there. There was a large, beautiful garden at the back which would be super in the summer. It was in a small... More

Found this Guest House on the internet and after checking the reviews on Trip Advisor decided to book for the family, as sounded ideal. Some of the rooms we were allocated were OK, although some of the Bedrooms had the odd cob web. Decor could do with updating in some of the Bedrooms. We had Room 10, the Attic, not... More

Having just returned from our 1 night stay @ The Old Vic. It was very quiet and lovely building a gardens. We stayed in the suite (11) which has a lovely view towards the church. We were attending a Charity Dinner @ Kellington Manor and this was ideally situated, a 2 mins walk round the corner!!. Christine is a perfect... More

Five night stay at this wonderful hotel. The landlady couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Stayed in three different rooms during the week...all were idiosyncratic...enchanting in their own unique way. The hotel is beautifully decorated and the landlady made us welcome to use the winter or summer drawing rooms in addition to our bedroom. The summer drawing room will... More

We arrived to a welcome by Christine who was very friendly. She is definitely a very kind lady. She suggested that we take the attic room which she thought would be an interesting experience for an asian couple. She was kinda worried that we wouldnt take to it and kept asking if we would be alright. But she was right... More

After an arduous day's driving, we arrived at the Old Vicarage to be warmly greeted by the owner. Unfortunately we were too late (well after 9pm) to get a meal at any of the eateries in the village. No worries, Christy set too and cooked us up a feed of bacon and eggs, sausages, mushrooms etc. The room was large,... More

Three of my family and I consider ourselves very fortunate to have found such a perfectly formed antique-style hotel in an otherwise unremarkable village [Kellington] near to Selby and busy expensive York. It's beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean, in quiet gardens, having a charmingly friendly lady owner who has already handwritten your name and room number onto a slip of paper... More

Ok, maybe my standards are quiet high. I don't think there was anything wrong with this place. Rooms (we chose a superior double) were tiny with just enough room to get round the bed, but you were in severe risk of tripping over the over-sized bed linen on the std sized ( though comfy ) double bed. Bathroom appeared relatively... More
