Well, I think the other reviewers made it pretty clear as to what kind of hotel this is. The problem is that there is not much more in town, so if you really need to stay in Kangar- the Putra Palace is probably where you'll end up. Brace yourself, get through it and leave the next morning.

average, just average. I think it's a little bit expensive, but then the rooms are spacious. Not really located in the town centre, therefore shops are quite far walk away.

Agree with other reviews the fitments are old, faded and the furnishings are well past their glory days. Forced to stay there for business reasons. Once again, the hotel staff insisted on blasting their guests with loud musak live and recorded in the hotel reception area, making it impossible to have a conversation but did turn the recorded lot off...
