Me and my kids stayed here for 2 nights and it was wonderful. We had a family-tukul with 2 bedrooms right at the edge of the gorge. It's all very basic but the view from the balcony makes up for everything, simply amazing! We thoroughly enjoyed the wildlife in the park, even the baboons that broke into our room and... More

We loved this lodge. The staff was very friendly. The setting is beautiful. Our detached family hut was very clean and had space for five people . We had a spectacular view of the Awash falls from the terras. The food was nice. The water may be cold and there could be a power outage but these are small details... More

I have stayed at Awash Falls Lodge three times during the past two years and I love the place. It is located in the Awash National Park, overlooking the Awash River and the spectacular Awash Falls whose noise lulls one to sleep at night, and where crocodiles bask on the rocks during the daytime. Accommodation is simple but comfortable, in... More

The accommodation is in traditional bamboo and bark thatched huts, and is basic but functional, but the setting, right beside the Awash Falls, where you can see half a dozen crocodiles sunbathing while you have breakfast, plus masses of birds, is amazing. Don't come here for amazing food, or a power-shower, because you won't find them - but if you... More

Awash has half a dozen gorgeous nooks to just sit and watch the river, the falls, the countryside. The restaurant is fine and there is even a cheeky monkey who will try to steal your breakfast. The service is lovely. We saw crocs just below the lodge. The dinner and coffee ceremony are delightful -- and as you walk back... More

Hate it or love it could be the title for this review. The Awash Falls Lodge is a very basic lodge with bungalows made in cane, with a toilet inside, a shower with cold and weak water, a bowl and a washbasin. Obviousely a net for mosquitos. The restaurant near the water falls open air was ok. However we were... More

We have visited Awash Fall Lodge for holyday and weekends several times in the period 2009 – 2011. The lodge is not only close to the nature and wildlife – it is in the middle of it and established in harmony with the nature. The atmosphere is fantastic and from the lodge you can se the waterfalls, crocodiles and other... More

After much travelling, it was great to spend three nights in a wonderful location at a very comfortable resort. Of course, the Falls and the surrounding countryside are the biggest attractions, with splendid birdlife and some mammals - we saw gazelle, warthogs, baboons, crocs and a few smaller things. However, the rooms were basic but adequate, with decent bathrooms and... More

The lodge is close to the Awash Falls and has stunning views. But beware the baboons. One deftly removed 5 pieces of toast at breakfast. When I returned to my room a baboon had smashed a large hole on the wall to get at a bag of oranges I had left out. There were muddy footprints all over my bed.... More

My only regret was that we did not stay here longer. The evening meals are all served outside around a camp fire, with a coffee ceremony. Food was good (if you are a group pre-order) service was good. Rooms were clean and basic, despite the rather large and ugly spider in the bathroom, but that's par for the course!! Watch out... More
