This is a lovely place in a beautiful setting. It was such a nice change coming from Bogota. The room was set apart from the main area in the big garden. The bed was very comfortable, with a big bedspread that made it very cosy. The bathroom has the best shower I’ve had in South America so far in terms... More

We were camping at the hostel with our landcruiser. The place to park was pretty level. Wifi in the car! good hot shower. Nice place to sit and quiet in the night. The staff is friendly and very helpfull. Especially Oscar. For us the best hostel in Colombia after 2 months travelling.

Heavenly! Just a hop, skip & jump from Bogota - this tranquil oasis is the perfect destination to start or end your trip. After 4 months travelling around Colombia, this remains one of my favourite spots.. The town is charming, cobbled streets, fab restaurants, cool little bars (with great music!)...lots of stunning walks & activities (must do 'angel step'). The... More

One of the best hostels I have stayed in South America with great amenities and wonderful staff. The setting of the hostel is beautiful set in the hills of Villa de Leiva... definitely a unique place and highly recommend it to everyone.

We stayed in one of the cabins with private bath. It was a great value. Clean and comfortable. We enjoyed watching birds on the property and walks down the road from the property. The hostel is a nice walk from town. There were so many people in VdL in early January that the otherwise very lovely town was almost unpleasant.... More

I stayed in the 6 bed dorm above the kitchen area. Beds comfy (mine a bit too hard but still fine), room nice. The kitchen is ok and the sitting area is nice too. Feels a bit like camping, bring a jacket as chilly in the evening. DIstance to town is ok, nice 15 min walk. Maybe a bit far... More

After leaving the hectic-ness of Bogotá, I was really ready for a calmer, friendlier hostel experience and Renacer certainly met that need. I mistakenly thought there were no dorm rooms available and so booked a private room prior to arrival. When I asked if I could downgrade to a dorm upon arrival, I was told I couldn't, which was a...
