The highlight of the hotel is the reception staff who were very friendly, helpful and efficient. We stayed in 2 rooms, and we would recommend, at least in summer, making sure you get a room with air conditioning, and if staying at the weekend make sure you get a room facing the sea to avoid the noise from the street.... We had a view of the water, which was lovely. The hotel was quiet & comfortable. Good food, but could have been more varied over the course of our stay. Aland is gorgeous! A lot of heritage, especially for me. Traveled with my grown son & we both really enjoyed ourselves. Nice shops in Mariehamn.

We stayed here for two nights in June while touring Mariehamn. It's a long walk from the ferry terminal and I'd recommend waiting for the free Mariehamn bus (B bus) which will pick you up at the ferry terminal and drop you off a block from the Hotel. The hotel is quite old and needs a renovation. View to the sea was beautiful (I think half of the rooms have it) but rooms were not a tidy as you would expect with the price.
