We stayed in this very eclectic hotel in Aug11. The rooms have a lot of character, ours was actually quite dark, even with the lights on. The outdoor swimming pool was great for the kids although the water was extremely cold for an August with fine weather. The food is actually good with a lot of attention to detail, but... More

It's relatively expensive for the area but worth it. The grounds, the pool, and the building are stunning, really among the most impressive very small places I've seen anywhere. The rooms and baths have all necessary touches for luxury. The food is outstanding. There are many nooks in the public spaces for reading, relaxing, whatever, and tons of reading material... More

Everything about this beautiful hotel deserves praise. The staff was warm and welcoming, speaking more then passible english and catered to our every need. The dinner, served to the five American couples traveling together and served in the private dining room, was the best meal eaten on the entire trip! The rooms, both private and public were jaw dropping gorgeous,... More

At the end of May, we discovered this property on a tour on northern Spain. We where treated like in heaven from the moment we stepped in. We had a complimentary upgrade upon arrival on a very impressive room, clean and spacious. We asked about visiting wineries and they arranged a private visit to Senorio de Arinzano, that was an... we limped into this hotel and its hostel basement after walking from Pamplona on a hot August day. We had done no research beforehand so did not know what to expect but the hostel part of the hotel offered wonderful cool cotton sheets and, our own bathroom for 34 euro and a peregrino menu for 11 euro. If you don't... More

We stayed at El Peregrino for one night during a trip around northern Spain. As others have pointed out, it is in the middle of nowhere, which is why we thought that one night would be enough. We were intrigued by the public rooms, which contain an eclectic selection of objets d'art and a huge library of books in a... More

This is an exquisitely decorated hotel, both in and outside: the stonework, woods, colours, works of art, furniture are in the best of taste. It is full of nooks and crannies, a labyrinth of rooms, including a reading area with an extensive and and very interesting selection of books, in spanish and french I noticed. The food is also very... More

We selected hotel "El Peregrino" for our Pamplona sightseeing through the "Relais & Chateaux" Catalogue. Due to our many stays with Relais & Chateaux Hotels we had some expectations which the Hotel itself totally met. It's a real dream place, a old stylish Hacienda which has been converted to a small individual hotel with beautiful garden/pool and amazing living room... More

I probably would have a better experience had I known how to speak Spanish or the local dialect. I decided to stay here since I was visiting Pamplona and was looking for a quiet location close to town. The room was spacious, location (right off the freeway) was surprisingly quiet. The food at the restaurant was also very decent. However,... More

We spent two nights at the El Peregrino and by the reviews written about it our only disappointment was not being able to sample the culinary delights on offer in the hotel restaurant. We arrived on Sunday and left Tuesday morning which unfortunately is the 'blackout' period for kitchen service as those are the days off for kitchen staff (given... More
