The hotel is conveniently located for the centre of the town with its old cluniac church and numerous bookshops. The rooms are fairly airly and nicely decorated with 'mille et une feuilles' (1001 pages) of works of various French writers' work. The food in the restaurant is good, the chestnut puree ice-cream deserves a special mention!
The room we stayed in ( Number 1) was nothing like any of the pictures on the web site - the ones on the website looked as though they had been recently refurbished. We know that you don't always get exactly the same room as those shown on the web site but you expect something similar in standard - this...
