Yes....next door has some building work being done during the day but who comes on holiday to sleep during day? It is 5mins from the beach. The staff are super-helpful and friendly. The rooms aren't huge but what they make up for it in style & great amenities. The air-con is a welcome relief from the intense March heat. We booked 2 rooms through booking.com and got a really good price. The rooms have all been upgraded and are of a high standard. Definitely not full of bugs as other reviews have said. Beds are comfy and the bed linen is brand new and very clean. Everything seems new. No garden or pool but the beach is so close you dont need that. The pics on booking.com are an accurate representation.

I know, you're looking for a cheap place to stay for a few nights. You think, that can not be that bad. Bad things like in the recommendations before will only happen only to other people, but not to you. But trust me, it's not worth trying out and provoke your luck for a few bugs. Didn't you ask yourself, why this lovely place is so cheap? So... If you want to lose money out of your locked room, then you should stay here. If you want to see Thailand at its worst side, then you should stay here. If you're one of that tough guys who looks for adventure and want to be scammed, just stay here. But If you want to have nice, friendly and polite staff, go anywhere else. If you want a safe accommodation with a clean room and a comfortable bed, please, please, please go to somewhere else. No safe, no cameras, no security, no refund! You will not get your money back!!! If I could, I would rate with 5 negative Stars. Good Luck!

On arrival there was a power cut throughout Koh Samui due to monsoon season, which we knew about. However the lady at reception laughed at us and shouted across to us “HAHA, NO POWER” great first impression! When we got to the front door it was so insecure, you may aswell not be given a room key! The windows don’t actually close, and the bathroom window is broken, therefore leaving it easily accessible. The bathroom door doesn’t even fit the frame, so as long as you don’t mind showering and toiletting with the door wide open, you’d be fine. All of the drains in the bathroom don’t actually drain the water away, so having a shower is like being on crystal maze!! The bedding was absolutely filthy, brown questionable stains, along with some black and cream stains too! The towels had blue paint and again, brown stains all over. We were given one toilet roll for a 5 night stay, as well as one bin the size of a cup. There are no bedside tables, drawers, cupboards or even shelves, so our belongings sat on a filthy floor. Every morning we woke up to at least 5 more mosquito bites!! The staff at reception were very rude, made me and my partner feel extremely uncomfortable. Although speaking in Thai, it was very apparent that they were laughing and joking about us. When trying to rent a bike, she asked me to fill a form and hand over my passport for a bike that had already been rented out. I also asked how much it was to get to koh lanta using their services, she showed me a leaflet for all of their boat and bus services, it was priced at 900 Thai baht each. She then said it was 1050... so she decided to add on 150 Baht for no apparent reason. We ended up enquiringly at a different ticket shop, and got our tickets for 800 baht each. Reception says it’s open 24 hours, but after 8pm it pulls the shutters down and you’ll be lucky to find a man sat on a deckchair outside, on the odd occasion! Aeroplanes keep you awake all night as they are so low. And if that doesn’t wake you up, then the very loud air con will... as well as the toilet gargling all night! There are plenty of guest houses along chaweng road that are the same price as this one.... choose them, not green guesthouse!!

We booked this as a cheap place to stay in for only 2 days! All was fine however it’s just VERY old and mouldy. We also had a pair of shoes go missing which may have been stolen?! It didn’t feel the safest place to stay as the windows were dodgy and had clearly been broken into before. Besides this, the staff were very friendly towards us. If you’re going to stay here don’t expect anything great!

Best thing about this is cheap price and very central, next to beach and main bars 2 mins walk. Room- small, hard bed with plastic sheet over mattress but bedding clean enough. Only one plug socket. Ok for one night.

Room was very dirty, dirty lining and towels but we decided that for 2 days it's ok because it's really close to all bars. But in the morning we found bites on our legs! The girl at the frond desk told that it was not their problem and offered another room. But the bites appeared on that night and never happen again so i'm absolutely sure that these were bugs bites. We told that we didn't want to stay in this hotel but thay refused to refund the money. So we had to book another hotel for the second night and give all of our belonings to a laundry. Horrible experience

This place shouldn't even be open. The room smelt of human urine, the bathroom was black with mould, the shower head was broken, we found maggots in the bin, the shower didn't go down the drain, the toilet had poo on when we arrived and was stained and the whole room and bedsheets were filthy. To add to this the Windows didn't properly lock and there was no safe so we didn't feel like ourselves or our belongings were safe. There was literally a bed in the room not even a bedside table, a chair or any form of other surface, we had to bring an outside table inside in the end. Planes fly over very low and you can hear the noise from the street also, so it's difficult to get any sleep. Avoid at all costs, I've seen cleaner dog kennels.

We arrived there after being exhausted from a full moon party the night before so we just wanted a hostel and fast. We saw it on our map and it had decent reviews and a decent price so we headed there. A private fan room was 400 baht, 200 each so we decided to stay a night. When we got into our room in hadn't been cleaned. Garbages all full, bed wasn't made, the bathroom hadn't been cleaned so we went back to reception to let them know. They switched us to a different room that had a/c but didn't charge us any extra. That room had been cleaned thankfully but in the bathroom the toilet leaked and the mirror looked like it had never been cleaned. It was almost hard to see my reflection it was so dirty. The airport is nearby so you can hear planes passing by really close, so they're loud every hour or so throughout the day and night. Since its close to bars you can hear music till 3 or 4 in the morning. Also, while I was sleeping I felt an ant crawling on me in the bed under the blanket and sheet so I killed it and moved on. But then I could fee some sort of bugs biting me. I woke up with bites as well. Was not bed bugs because we checked for those and there were none. But some sort of bug that bites. Would not recommend nor would I stay here again.

Not sure why all the reviews are so negative?! I had room number 1 and sure, it could do with a touch up, but it was clean, close to the beach, everything worked fine and the staff were lovely and very helpful. What do people expect for 750 baht a night, really?! I'd definitely stay again.

If you are on a tight budget and just want a bed to sleep in this is an option, otherwise look around for somewhere else. There are places for the same amount but with a better standard. We paid 400 TBH for a room with a fan, it was barely worth it. Location is good tho.
