“Hotel locked up when we got there!”

We were booked for two nights here and arrived around 17.30, but the place was locked up and no one was around. We rang the doorbell and phoned, but got no response. Nor was there any notice or contact information to tell us what was going on. Waited for 3/4 hour before giving up to find somewhere else.
