We were celebrating a 70th birthday. Party of 18. The food was excellent, al a carte menu. All served on piping hot plates. So many friendly staff who had worked there for years. The ambience is lovely. No better place in the area for that 'special' meal.

Short stay in the hotel before Christmas,Dec 2011 . Food was fantastic , service excellent . The bars and restaurant have great character but the rooms arn't great .. (fairly basic and very hard mattress) but have all that you need for short stays . Would definately book again if in the area
