When we first arrived, we were greeted by two enormous parrots in the window of the castle. We stayed in one of the stand-alone, self-containted cottages which was perfect as we have a 1.5 year old. This chateau is now functioning as a "chambre d'hote" as the French call it. B&B doesn't seem quite adequate to describe it. The chateau is a delightful building, a fairtytale for Americans who aren't used to architecture such as this. Each large bedroom is decorated differently with very tasteful art and an updated bathroom. The grounds are large and beautiful.... More
