Judy and I spent three nights last month a the Rio Indio Lodge. Getting there via panga was quite and adventure. With the nearby airport opening this month the trip from Managua should be quite simple. One the other hand the trip down the Rio San Juan is a great advetnure in and of itself. The lodge is a beautiful... More

Rio Indio is unique in many respects. If you want an ordinary experience, look elsewhere. If you want a place with incredible natural beauty, service second to none, food off the charts, great fishing, local guides that are exceptional in every regard, and genuine hospitality from the owner to everyone there, then this is the place for you. My wife... More

The owners met us at the dock upon arrival and provided us with an incredible adventure on the river. We stayed here three nights and I would only recommend this to someone looking for an outside the box experience/adventure. The staff was wonderful and the food excellent. Our only complaint was we ate too much. The rooms are huge and... More

Spent only a few hours in the afternoon on New Years Day, since the rest of the guys were still recovering from the party the night before, I decided to give it a try. Two of us fished for about 2 hours at a river mouth, from about 3:15 to 5:15 PM. We boated and released 29 snook up to... More

We have traveled to many Lodges two in Costa Rica and severl in Mexico so we are able to compare prices ammenities, service and the desire to return. This Lodge was so great with the food, the lodging, the ambiance, the great service that we have already put together a group for next year and are now finalizing the details... More

I stayed 4 nights at the Rio Indio lodge and enjoyed every minute. The food was fantastic, the service was great, the lodge is set in a very beautiful area. I can not say enough good things about the lodge. I am planning to go back with friends in April 2012. By the way the Tarpon fishing was very good... More

The entire lodge was empty. We were the only guests. When we arrived - no water, no electricity. When to the lodge bathroom, no hand towels, no toilet paper. The swimming pool had not been cleaned in four months - quote from staff. For $200 per person per night we were served rice and beans three times a day. Tang... More

As can be evidenced by the reviews this individual leaves during his or her travels, apparently they continuously choose the wrong locations to visit. We operate a 5-star jungle lodge and have received numerous awards and accolades for our environmental protection and gourmet restaurant. I don't doubt that the electricity was shut off upon arrival. Since we generate our own,... More

This was our home base for a medical mission for the locals and indigenous people in this area. The lodge was a welcomed respite at the end of the day after working hard in sparse surroundings. The hotel/rooms give you the feeling of being out in the wilderness where life is very much simpler than what we are used to.... More

The flight into the Lodge was an experience in of itself. The Otter sea plane was a blast and the aerial view helped show the extent of the rainforest. The food and accomodations were great and I can't wait to return. Thanks ladies & gentlemen for an awesome experience.
