Cinnamon Wild through its many transitions (Yala Village, Chaaya wild etc) has been a favourite place of mine. So much so, my 5 day stay in early April this year was my tenth visit to this hotel. Why? There are many reasons and all of those go to make this a unique place where game lodge type accomodation in Sri... More

We visited Cinnamon Wild on the 19th of May, mind set on leopards and bears. The fact that we didn't see either was only bearable because of the luxurious and awesome setting of the hotel. Although they haven't changed much (except for the heightened standards, food quality and echo-concept) , this hotel is a paradise among the bush and jungle.... More

We were so impressed with Cinnamon Wild on our recent trip to Sri Lanka. The hotel is unique and the service we received was above average. Every single member of the staff were fantastic and we can highly recommend the service, the hotel, activities, food and the ambience. Our children who were in Sri Lanka for the first time and... This is a hotel I'll remember for a long time. Beautiful setting on the edge of the national park. Wildlife everywhere, great rooms and service. Food very good, particularly impressed with hygiene standards, but quite western in style. Prepare to feel like a real explorer staying in a lodge with wild boar sleeping outside, crocodiles nearby and early morning safari.... More

Beyond what we expected. The rooms are beautifully decorated and very clean. Staff are very friendly, courteous and attentive. Beautiful pool, bar and lounge. The resturant was fantastic. Being originally from Sri Lanka we loved the Sri Lankan food. For those not daring to try lankan there is plenty to choose from. Our honeymoon to remember. Over all great experience.... More

I believe this hotel is called Chaaya Wild. However since the search seemed to find Cinnamon Wild, I am going with the flow :) I have stayed at this hotel time and time again whenever I go on a safari to the Yala National Park and have enjoyed every single stay. The chalets are very comfortable with excellent bedding and... More

My wife and I spent 2 nights here while on our honeymoon. We started our trip at Cinnamon Grand in Colombo and both places rate very highly. We arrived just as lunch was finishing so as we got full board, we were allowed to have lunch as we were starving. Buffet meals every time, not disappointing however not wow. Good... More

We thank you for your detailed feedback to trip advisor. The overall experience in food, safari and service is noted. We were distressed to note your discomfort after meals during the safari and take your point of advice. The excitement of having a wild elephant in the premises makes it an experience worthwhile as we are in the buffer zone... More

After a wonderful afternoon safari at Yala National Park, where we were awarded, because we have seen everything - elephants, crocodiles, 2 leopards nearby our jeep (WOW), water buffalos, deers and every kind of birds, we weren’t expecting such a luxury in a jungle hotel. First, we were happy, especially the kids, to see that we still could go to... More

We spent two nights here in March and enthused about it for days afterwards. Entering the complex at dusk following a long drive south, we were greeted by hot towels and traditional drinks which was a nice touch. We had a jungle chalet and were pleasantly surprised (and a bit apprehensive) to find a family of boar taking up residence... More

Another rather tortuous road in from the main route south east, but on arrival found the same kind of ambience as at Chaaya Village, Habarana. Cleverly put together, with the restaurant above the reception and office areas, and an observation gallery above that, a pool and a bar/snack meal area nearby, then the fun of having to meander along little...
