We stayed at the Hotel Aurora for just one night following our hike over the Splugen pass (Via Spluga). It was certainly clean, and that's the most positive thing we could find about it. The hotel's website suggests the whole complex be situated in a garden - but it well hides the very busy road that separates the main building...
