This is my first visit to the Oystr Inn and at 83 years old I have been in many hotels in my time. James was nicely presented on the reception and made me feel very welcome. A lovely young lady called Louise organised my bag to be taken to my room whilst I had a well deserved cup of tea... More

I have made yet another Visit to The Oyster Inn, I regularly make the trip to Oban and for me there is only one place to stay. Yes you got it the Oyster. I feel right at home there and have stayed many times. I love the new decorations through the accommodation area. Love what you have done there. It's... More

After reading some great reviews, I decided to give this place a go. On arrival checking in at the front desk, the staff appeared to be busy & carried on their own conversation as soon as the check in process was completed. Didn't offer to help with our luggage at all when they could see that I was holding my... More

With sticky toffee pudding on the menu, my friend and I decided to opt for started and dessert. I had chowder which was delicious but came in a disappointingly small bowl. My friend had squid rings and received the grand total of FOUR rings. Coffee was served in a cup only two-thirds full. ...by the way, the sticky toffee pudding... More

We were planning a week "Up North" but the hotel cancelled last minute. We found this one through Late Rooms and we couldn't have been happier. It is set in a quiet rural location with stunning views. Staff were polite and helpful and the room was perfect, in line with the 4 star rating from the tourist board. The hotel... More

We decided to take advantage of the Oyster Inn special offer break for Autumn and travelled from Edinburgh by train. Oban was a new part of Scotland for us to visit and we were prepared to pay for taxis occasionally to substitute for public transport. Arriving during a school holiday period it soon became clear that we needed to know... More

Didn't stay at the Inn, but ate in their restaurant one night and in the Ferryman pub the other. The restaurant is lovely, mostly in a conservatory with amazing views, the staff are very friendly and helpful and the place has a nice atmosphere. Sadly it is badly let down by the quality of the food. The chowder is very... More

We were invited by friends for a meal and this turned out to be the most disappointing meal we have had for along time. Two off the company ordered the haggis stack, when it came it was cold and returned to the kitchen alas when delivered the second one was also cold. The main course was medalion of beef six... More
