I stayed with an important business relation at the hotel for one night. Although I know both the restaurant and the luxury bistro adjacent to it as excellent places for food, Marc Meurin should be careful not to blamish his name with the hotel. We made a booking and clearly mentioned that our business relation would have a special room.... More

We were very pleased with the chateau itself. The room we stayed in was lovely, modern, clean. WIFI was included at no extra cost for all of our devices. We enjoyed the short walk around the property although it's not very large. As for our dinner at Le Meurin restaurant, I was a little disappointed. We ordered the 4-course menu.... More

We stayed here July 2011 for one night in a standard double, it proved to be a perfect spot to stopover en route to the South of France. The staff were friendly and welcoming and our room was clean and very comfortable with all the extras like gowns nice smellies and water and a coffee machine. We ate in the... More

This is among the best of that species of country hotel run alonside a top class restaurant. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed. They have views over the countryside and are quiet. If you want a large room they are available, but the ordinary rooms are quite adequate for an over-night stay. There is a choice of restaurant -... More

We have stayed here (peaceful location) and eaten in the Meurin restaurant a number of times, enjoying the originality and quality of the food and the comfort of the hotel. This visit the room was fine, but the dinner (4 course table d'hote) did not deliver. Each course apart from the appetiser (delicious oyster in leek cream topped with pickled... More

Go for the food in the main restaurant. It is excellent. The Chateau is also beautiful with very comfortable rooms but nothing much around the area.

Like another recent review, this one is of the Jardin d'Alice restaurant (the brasserie to the two star, very expensive Meurin restaurant also here). I see that Trip Advisor indexes Meurin, the Chateau and the Jardin d'Alice separately, but this seems where most reviews have been filed. Moving quickly on, on the basis of the experience we had of lunch... More

Two friends had stayed here and loved it - imitation being the sincerest form of flattery, we followed, and even shared their dining options of the simpler Jardin d'Alice on the first night, and the gourmet restaurant on the second. This is French grand'luxe. As Michelin used to say, "prix en conséquence" - especially in the bar, where I draw... More

Stayed in a different standard room, with a bath this time and just as comfortable as before. Having had a good meal at the Le Jardin D'Alice last time we decided to push the boat out and try the 2 star Michelin restaurant Meurin. It was a delight. We went for the set menu with wine, lots of lovely amuse-bouches,........ More

Less than an hour from Calais and in an area I thought was not likely to yield an outstanding hotel and restaurant this hotel could persuade us to alter our system of travelling to the south of France. Definitely worth a visit. We did not try the main restaurant but used the bistro - Le Jardin D'Alice - which was... More
