For years and years I have driven past Misty Mountain lodge just after the Long Tom Cannon towards (sometimes from) Lydenburg and thought, "hmmm would love to check that place out". Lovely location , staff friendly and quite efficient. Total lack of management presence.Food quality good. Room ( family unit No.14) in poor condition, chipped and peeling paint, very bad mold growth on bathroom tiles.Lighting in lounge/dining area Unit masquerading as a self catering possibility but with no cooking utensils (pots, pans.)etc. Overall medium value for money.

This is a great place to stay while exploring the Panoramo route! The accommodation is just great! All very tastefully decorated, plenty of privacy, beautiful garden and a superb view. Food is great as well. We will definetely be back!
