We stayed 2 nights for NYE in Chateau de Brou. The place is not that easy to find but it is worth it as the castle has it's own little forest that you need to drive through. Arriving at night is therefore really impressive. Staff is very helpful. We stayed in Charles VII tower which is independent from the castle... More

We stopped here on our way to & from South West France. The directions to the chateau are very well signposted & approximately 10 minutes from the autoroute. Private gates open to reveal a tree lined twisting road, leading to the chateau - have your camera at the ready. We saw wild boar, deer and other wild animals roaming freely... More

Went to this chateau with a group on a biking tour. The chateau is on a large grounds with deer and wild boar. The building itself has been beautifully restored, and the dining room was beautiful. The food was good. The room my wife and I were in was fantastic -- large, and with a second floor that had a... More

We came here with VBT bike tours and extended 3 days on our own and it was lovely start to finish. The value for the service and accommodations is terrific too. We saw the pictures online before coming but none of them do justice to the surroundings. It is a place where renting a car is essential unless you are... More

The setting of the hotel is in the woods with wild flowers blooming all around. The rooms are each different and elegant. The dining room is formal and the food was great. Breakfast was the best we had in France. Pierre and his wife are amazing hosts and the prices are very reasonable. It is quiet and yet near to... More

This hotel is one of best we've had the pleasure to go to... quite a few times now! Excellent rooms, well decorated, food is excellent (thanks to the Chef!)... and the most important, everyone is very kind and do care to serve you in the best possible way. This is a four star class hotel for sure!

This chateau is magical. Set in parkland it has suites with different themes associated with famous French men and women. The view from our room was sensational. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Didn't matter that our French was not fluent. The room was very roomy and very clean. We enjoyed breakfast and a very special dining experience at... More

This is my favorite residential château so far, a hidden gem discovered by pure luck. Unlike a number of other châteaux, this one definitely does not disappoint, as one is bound to be impressed by the obvious care and thought put into renovating the original structure. Everywhere one looks, there is some artful period detail preserved and integrated into the... More

A wonderful place to escape your real world. The rooms are majestic, you MUST stay in the Richelieu Suite. In addition to the spectacular grounds, a very nice feature is the beautiful Chapel attached to the Chateau, an nice place to offer thanks for having the opportunity to stay in such a place. And do have dinner at the Chateau!... More

Staying in the Richlieu suite with my husband and friends was nothing short of magical! I felt like a princess for a day! The room was HUGE and elegant.... so beautiful!! The suite included a separate bedroom for my friends. We found the dinner (which we chose to eat out on the terrace) to be top-notch.... very expensive, but WORTH... More
