Cracking location. We had lunch in the bar and it was very good, definitely worth booking for dinner. Staff were friendly and attentive. A good experience

The location is great, facing the water. We had diner in the wonderful dining room. Service is good. The food is mostly seafood, very fresh, excellent quality, perfectly cooked (we had the day before a dinner in a Michelin rated restaurant and seafood was much better here at Pierhouse). One of us had an excellent big piece of beef. Breakfast... More

We booked this hotel after really struggling to find anywhere to stay for a weekend away - everywhere seemed to be booked. What a stroke of luck we got the last room at The Pierhouse. The reviews looked excellent, rating the seafood restaurant as well worth a visit and it was in a beautiful location so we hoped we had... More

Well worth a visit. The seafood was as good as any 5 star restaurant with service to match. The location is the main attraction with plenty of things to do. The rooms were nothing special but nicely decorated. The rooms with a view may be better.

A lovely, friendly comfortable hotel. We stayed for 2 nights, had wonderful food for every meal & a really comfortable room with an amazing view, just couldn't fault anything about the Pierhouse. We had decided before we went to book a massage & that turned out to be an excellent decision, Tamsin was absolutely brilliant & we both really enjoyed... More

A lovely setting at the end of the Port Appin road, with modern rooms and a restaurant serving great local seafood and the best Scottish breakfast on the west coast that we have sampled thus far

When we arrived we received a really friendly welcome! The manager came out to personally greet us as we were entering. It is clean, comfortable. The seafood was excellent, the wait staff is terrific, breakfast was wonderful. My husband even got some laundry done while we were there. Views are beautiful

We were married on the Saturday and turned up on Monday night to the hotel which is at the end of a windy single track road. We parked outside in the car park which was literally on the beach. We had a warm welcome and the slightly disorganised check-in was indicative of the quirky homely feel of the place. The... More

We were delighted to read your review and are very happy that you felt we offered the "best value for money overall experience" above the other 2 very well known hotels. We are without doubt blessed by some of the finest views on the West Coast and pride ourselves on the freshness of our seafood so I am really pleased... More

We stayed at the Pierhouse for one night as part one of a whistlestop tour of Scotland's west coast and, after a 3-hour drive, it was a relief to see that it is every bit as nice in the flesh as the website (and tripadvisor reviews) made out. Bear in mind that the hotel is well off the beaten track... More

We stayed at the hotel as part of a seafood trail of scotland. The views from the hotel are stunning, our room was small but beautifully and tastefully designed. The staff are polite and helpful. To menu takes into account seasonal and available produce. Lobsters are kept at the end of the pier and we saw one of the chefs... More
