Ridiculuosly over priced considering you can stay out the newly renovates Crown Hotel just down the road for less per night. The rooms are of a much lower standard of Premier Inns for example, not even on par with travel lodge. Service okay but owners seem very 'cliquey' and also seem to suffer delusions of grandeur with their overpriced prententious... More

On arrival we were greeted by a charming Gentleman by the name of Ben very courteous who booked us in and showed us to our room which was no 6. The room was traditional if somewhat worn with paint coming off the toilet wall and a grubby carpet but for one night we could live with that. We decided to... More

I stayed here last month for a week on a business trip. Pros: Clean rooms Friendly staff at breakfast and reception Cons: Noisy all night long, the walls are paper thin in connecting rooms and I had a really loud snorer in the room next door. The showers were really poor, just a trickle really. The bed was really creaky... More

I travel a fair bit for work and am always pleased to stay somewhere with character, so I can get a feel for the area. The Castle has this in spades. What's more the staff are friendly and efficient, and the rooms are comfortable, clean and well equipped (Wifi was a welcome bonus). My colleague and I ended up having... More

An excellent four day break. I'd asked for comfy chairs and was shown a lovely room. On return with our luggage we were asked if we'd like an upgrade to the honeymoon suite at no extra charge (with separate lounge and settee) it was delightful. The most welcoming and friendly place we've ever stayed. The food was outstanding the steak... More

This was my first trip to Norfolk and I plan to go back! I was met in the lobby and shown to my room. A lovely young man, i believe it was the owners son called Joe was fantastic, nothing seemed too much trouble. The food was lovely, it was just a great family hotel.

I arrived late in the afternoon and although the hotel had stopped serving lunch, it seemed no effort to the hotel to provide me with a bar snack. The receptionist was very polite and welcoming and carried my bags to my room. The room was especially clean, tastefully decorated, with a comfy bed! Bar service and dinner was exceptional and...
