Review viangtak hotel Tak I travel quite often from Bangkok to Chiang Mai. I always make a stopover at Viangtak Hotel. On the the way up and down. It is absolut the best choice in Tak. Very good location on the river with the market and sometimes boat races. The rooms are big and clean, the personnel exceptional helpful and... More

After the long drive of more than 6,5 hours from Bangkok City , you will find this hotel to be a delight. The breakfast is simple traditional fare and western buffet spread. If you are looking for a pub to drink , you will find it at the verandah facing the riverside where live band music is available in the... More

location was good and the experience was not so bad until we got chased by unfriendly staff far a bottle of water that was in fact not free . Convenient stop on your way from Bangkok to Chiang mai , first that came up on internet, might be some other nice places in Tak too more guest house like. This... More

The hotel is located in Tak, around half way from Bangkok to the popular northern destinations such as ChiangMai, Chiang Rai, and Mae Hong Son. So I recommend everyone who drives their own vehicles from Bangkok to the North to stop for a night here, so you wont' be too tired and fall asleep while driving. It takes around 4-5... More

There was a group of 10 of us that stayed here for 2 days during the festival. Service was excellent. With that many people ordering mostly North American food for a change - the cooks and wait staff did an excellent job. At one point, the dining room manager and 4 staff members were at our extended table to make... More

I enjoyed staying here on my way to Chiang Rai riding my newly acquired motor bike from Bangkok. I had a river view and was on the 4th floor, the bed was very comfortable and the room big with a good size fridge, usually there are 2 free bottles of water, not so here. Bathroom good with good water supply.... More

Tak is a pleasant if unexciting town and a good stopping place if you're driving from Bangkok to Chang Mai and don't want to exhaust yourself utterly. It's particularly appealing when you have a chance staying at the Viang Tak for the night. A lot of the rooms have really fine views of the river, and for $33 a night... More

If you intend to visit non-tourist place Tak, this is a comfortable place to stay. Friendly staff, big rooms and pretty clean. However, the rooms and furniture are really old and are ready to be renovated. Also, we wanted a foot massage, but were confronted with a bunch of prostitutes when we entered the hotel's massage salon. Dinner is pretty... More

We spent a night here as guest of a local friend. Town is one of the nicer ones in Thailand with wide broad streets and the Ping river is a nice attraction. Rooms were ok for the price and the view. Be sure to get the river view. Much more interesting than the ones facing the back. The odd thing... More

Convenient car park right in front of the hotel - but no lift/ramp up to the lobby. Nice lobby area, efficient staff. Best bit was the bedroom - we called to reserve a deluxe room for 1,000 Baht - spacious, big bathroom, amazing views over the river and Tak town centre. 711 store is a short walk down the street,...
