We stayed here as it was as close as we could get to Savonlinna and the Opera festival. They did put on coaches to get us into town (additional cost) for Opera at the castle - which was FAB! Maybe this is the only facility that can accommodate tour groups headed to the Savonlinna Opera Festival because otherwise I would not choose to stay here. It is utilitarian at best. However, the opera festival in Savonlinna should not be missed!
