Stayed at Danforth Yachting on a brief one night stopover, while on business. From the minute I contacted them, the team went over board to ensure we got their safely and were treated in the best way possible - Michelle when initially dealing with us; Pippa for looking after us on every move we made; and Ian for the excellent... I stayed here only two days but was feeling at home from the first minute. Not only because the rooms, food ans location are excellent. But also because Michell, Howard, Pippa and Jan were giving me the feeling just being part of the family. I left the place with pain in my heart and now looking back on a wonderful... More

My husband and I and our girls ,ages 9 and 14 , visited Danforth in april. From the very beginning we were warmly welcomed and made to feel completely at home. Danforth is beautiful, situated right on the shore of lake malawi. We loved that it is small and friendly. The owners , Howard and Michelle, and all their staff... More

In April 2012 we went as a family of four, our children 15 and 13 years old to Danforth. A warm welcome by Michelle, outstanding location and excellent food. We stayed for 2 nights at the lodge and enjoyed the lake, waterskiing and swimming. Michelle and Howard became friends and we felt pampered and like at home. Discreet service on... More

We spent 5 days at Danforth with our daughter and her family. Slightly nervous about being so close to the lake with a lively 4 year old and 22 month old twins! And very nervous about the ground level trampoline with spaces for unwary toddlers to disappear in to. However the welcome we got from Michelle,Howard, Pippa and Jan helped... More

we had an excellent experience to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary! it was our second visit to Danforth and that was why my husband chose it for our anniversary! We knew the hospitality that will wait for us, provided by Howard and MIchelle. Danforth is small enough to feel special and big enough to have privacy. We are 50+ and... More

Support the views entirely of other reviewers. Michelle and Howard are superb and welcoming hosts and during our three day stay we were made to feel 'part of the family'. Wide range of water related activities available with support from highly qualified Howard including sailing and diving. The quality and the range of the food provided were excellent. Hotel's location... More

The best time we (party of 8) ever had on a weekend away. Things run so smoothly there it is unbeleivable. The food just exeeded my wildest expectations and so did the service, the rooms and the general attitude and friendliness of the staff and the owners. This is one of those places where you have to go to to... More

We have just completed a 7 month Trans-Africa Adventure on our motorcycles and we stayed at Danforth Yachting in Malawi between the 20th and 24th November 2011. This is a wonderful place to stay and we highly recommend it! We heard about Danforth when we were trying to organise travel through Malawi during the petrol crisis. A friend we met... More

We had the most wonderful stay at Cape Maclear starting off our honeymoon. Danforth is in a beautiful location where you can enjoy total relaxation while benefiting from all of the activities that the lake provides. What really made our stay was the kind and hospitable attitude of Michelle and Howard (I'm afraid that I don't recognise the criticisms that... More
