The guest house facilities are wonderfully designed and facilitate a peaceful stay. The owner, however, had a seriously bad attitude problem with myself and my elderly Mother, wrongly, accusing us of damaging his property, and that other guests, who were actually his Netherlands friends, parked in his own space, next to his cortijo, had complained. He was unwelcoming, in a very bad mood, dismissive, and curt in manner. When we could not find his Cortijo as we had been incorrectly informed of his location, we clearly stated that we were at La Bomba south African restaurant. He went to the Mumbai to find us. He left a wholly unacceptable response to our hotels.com check in feedback. Mine is not the only complaint on their website. Military style check in and check out. We were not shown the residents lounge and area to use. It's a shame that such a beautiful place was marred by our check in experience and subsequent unfactual vitriol

Dont know where to start... I have been at this lovely place 14 days in the summer 2019. Could highly recommend this place for its beautiful surroundings and lovely staff. If you want to be "lazy" and have a silent place in the inlands of Andalusia you should go here and not to the touristic coast. We spent 14 days with relaxing at the pool combined with barbecue at the bar, and all the great experiences in the area (Ronda, Mijas, El Caminito Del Rey, Barranco Blanco, National Parc Torcal de Antequera and a lot of small cities with local feeling

We just returned from a quick stay at this gem of a place. The immaculate, interesting and huge garden and wonderful pool area (overlooking the hills) with an honesty bar full of chilled beer and wine meant we relaxed instantly. The owner Ferry was warm, knowledgeable and helpful and our room was well appointed with a beautiful balcony terrace overlooking the grounds. The breakfast buffet was fresh, tasty and tasteful with much of the produce coming from the garden. All of this for about 80 euros. Seriously good value. We went for a relaxing getaway and loved it but this place would also be amazing for a party. Highly recommended

My mum booked 14 of us to stay here last weekend for her 60th Birthday. I'm not sure what I was expecting on arrival, but it wasn't this! The grounds are stunning, an amazing pool area, a beautiful entrance and stunning views. Its located only 1 mile away from the town, yet so quiet. We stayed in one of the studio apartments, the room was clean and comfortable. The owners could not be more accommodating, they cooked home cooked meals and the breakfast was supplied every morning with a variety for everyone. We had a party on the Saturday for about 40 guests, they supplied all the decor and hosted a champagne welcome. This place is perfect for parties, weddings and chilled holidays. A big thank you for last weekend, you made it perfect. We will see you again soon.

We stayed for 3 nights in July for a family party. And what an experience it was. The villa was stunningly beautiful with picturesque views. Every day we were provided with a buffet breakfast with lots of options. The food was delicious and very fresh. We had a bbq and party on the second night and the owners were so accommodating. We stopped in the family room and it was gorgeous, so modern and clean. We were provided with fresh towels every day and even provided with spa slippers. It was a luxury break and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend or book again. Thank You !

We have just had the best birthday celebration imaginable. This traditional country house is set in pretty gardens with spectacular views across the Andalusian countryside. The hosts - Yvette and Ferry - attended to everything to ensure the celebration could only be a huge success. The food, the drink, the timetable, the reception, the music, was all enthusiastically taken care of. Everything went so well that you start to think, this is so good some thing has to go wrong. But no, all was perfect for the whole time. Each of the guest rooms are individually designed with thoughtful features and of the highest quality, as is the entire venue. Unique and simply stunning. I challenge anyone to find a better combination of venue/hosts/price to hold a wedding or birthday party anywhere in Southern Spain.

We went with a large group for a family members 60th birthday. We stayed for three nights and held a big birthday party there on the second night. Yvette and Ferry (apologies for spelling!) were amazing. They could not do enough for us. The accommodation was clean, comfortable and air conditioned. The breakfast was lovely, with loads of options. We had a BBQ on the night of the party and the food went down really well with all of the guests. They also rearranged the pool area so there was a dance floor and lots of seating. The location in the mountains is really peaceful with fantastic views. Great to look at while sitting at the pool bar or eating lunch at one of the many seating areas. Really lovely. Would recommend to everyone!

We booked Stefan's place for a party of 20 family, friends and children and we had a fabulous time. We all made our way from Malaga Airport (thank you Google Maps!) and arrived to a very welcome lunch we organised beforehand and took our time to take in the beautiful villa and its surroundings. The mountainous views and olive groves made for a very peaceful few days and a great backdrop for my mother's 80th birthday party. Bruno, the landlord couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating as we needed to make the obligatory trips to Mercadona to stock up on provisions and alcohol! I recommend hiring your own transport as there are no taxis or buses, but that is no problem as the roads and motorways are very good and not congested. I highly endorse a trip into Malaga to the Picasso Museum. Also, I dare you to take a steep drive up to the 8th centrury Moorish castle atop Iznajar town....do it during siesta. You'll have to fight for the bedrooms in the main house as the views of the stars from that roof and olive groves from the balcony will leave you speechless. If you want a quiet retreat this is the place.

We only spent a couple of nights here. The accommodation was stunning, breakfast was lovely and ferry the owner was very helpful. Transport needed for those less able or the younger ones as out the way. We unfortunately had a poorly little person on our second night but the owner was very understanding which was very much appreciated. Would highly recommend.

We spent a lovely afternoon at Cortijo Andaluz for a friends wedding blessing. We found the place but a sign at the end of the road would have helped along with a car park sign. The house, gardens and swimming pool are beautiful and we all enjoyed drinks and a couple of tapas before the ceremony. The tapas were not very good, ham on a bread roll and cheese with jam on a piece of bread! Had much better elsewhere. The gardens are very well looked after and the staff were very helpful and friendly. All in all a great venue and setting but the tapas let it down.
