This is a small hotel in one of the best locations in Ireland. Caroline and all the team at the Cuan will welcome you with open arms. The rooms are practical, clean and with excellent bathrooms. Its the food that is particularly good, on a recent visit there were 3 Menu's to choose from with an outstanding range of seafood.... More

A large group of us stayed at The Cuan last month, we were quite specific in the number of beds, rooms and parking spaces and the lads at The Cuan were so accommodating. Could not fault the place whatsoever and will recommend the place to everyone heading up that direction. There were even fresh scones made at breakfast time and... More

The Cuan is a lovely, lovely inn near the ferry in Strangford. Peter & Caroline, the owners, greet you by name, as if you are family or returning friends. Very nice art is found on the walls throughout the inn. Our room was cozy with a comfortable bed. Delicious breakfast each morning, & extensive dinner menu.

We stay at Castleward caravan park a few times a year and always visit The Cuan whether it be a meal or few drinks in the bar. Over the years we have always been welcomed and the food is excellent. My husband booked an overnight stay for our anniversary and we were not disappointed. The room was spotless and comfortable... More

My wife and I recently stayed at the Cuan on a short visit to Northern Ireland. On arrival, we were a little apprehensive whilst checking-in at reception by the foul language eminating from a customer in the adjacent public bar. However, Dolores soon put us at ease and showed us to our room which was spacious with a large bathroom... More

Dear Diolchynfawriawn Many thanks for your very comprehensive feedback, you enjoyed the full scope of Cuan hospitality. Sorry about the foul language, this is very rare, I believe it was a group of young lads about to head off on a stag weekend. Dolores has a wonderful depth of experience with us at The Cuan, a great role model for... More

We visited The Cuan 4 times in our easter holiday in Loch Strangford. Twice for dinner, once for lunch and once for a drink. That says it all really! Peter, the host ( two families) and owner made us feel fabulously welcome and made a point of finding out and remembering our names. The food was a great mixture of... More

We stopped here without a reservation as a group of four and despite it being pretty busy we received a warm welcome and a table next to a roaring fire. Service was prompt and friendly. Best of all, the food was very good - we all had a different dish and none disappointed. Good portion sizes and tasty too. Hard... More

Booked four rooms for a family get-together and enjoyed a marvellous evening dinner, a few creamy pints and breakfast together the next morning. Great comfortable rooms, warm on a cold night, good food and attentive but unobtrusive service. Not the first time to stay here and definitely not the last. Highly recommended. KM
