We stayed as part of a tour with Voyages Jules Verne, with two other couples for three nights. This was the least enjoyable of four hotels in the ten day Northern Portugal trip. a lovely hotel in fantastic surroundings. You feel like you've gone back 80 years, the archetecture and furnishing is fantatic. The rooms are nice, maybe a little old fashioned. The restaurant is not the best in the areas but is fine if you want to eat in. The hotel is often quiet and is set in lovely gardens. www.hotelurgeirica.pt/en

Both myself and my wife have stayed at this hotel as part of a country tour that lasted one week. This was without any doubt the best hotel of the entire tour. The environment is out of this world. The food is excellente and the service wonderful. I'll be returning there soon.

My husband stayed over night in this hotel because we went on a 9 day tour in October 2001 to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. This place was really well kept and the furnishing were antique. The service was good and also the food. We would stay in this hotel again.
