It is a beautiful place to visit, almost hard to find. There is a limited access to the Internet so we had some problems using it (it is not FREE btw.). The best thing about the hotel is basically its location! I would probably come back there.

I stayed here back in July 2011 and it was very good, but it is easy to judge on just a single visit, but based on that experience, I booked again, this time in the February snow of 2012. Everything was as before, good sized and clean room, small balcony. Bathroom was large, clean and functional, but just a shower,...

Excellent hotel tucked away 15 minutes by car South of Bergamo. Stunning grounds (ideal for weddings). Rooms well appointed, ample and tasty breakfast (hot and cold buffet). Car essential... worth exploring nearby towns and villages. Bergamo itself is a real gem.
This hotel is very beautiful and peaceful, but the amenities and comforts were lacking. The rooms were extremely warm with no option to change the temperature. The restaurant was only open a couple nights a week and didn't open until later in the evening. There is nothing close by and limited options in the hotel for refreshments (there was a...

I stayed here whilst visiting Bergamo for a break from a very stressful period and it offered exactly what I needed. It is quiet with lovely airy rooms and views over the beauitiful well kept gardens. The breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice. The staff are helpful too. All in all highly recommend it, only it is not ideal...

Not often that I can find no fault with a hotel, but La Muratella is certainly one of them. Spent four nights here and can’t find anything to its detriment. Large hotel, but long and low, rather than tall, fitted into a beautiful old italian villa and surrounding buildings, set within equally beautiful gardens. Room was a good size for...

Spectacular, comfortable and very clean, this hotel caters very well for Italians with their own transport as very little English is spoken and Taxi use is essential to Bergamo and its surroundings. It sits beside a main road which surprisingly does not intrude on the peace and quiet within, but walking anywhere is not possible. Many breakfast dishes were empty...

This hotel is a undiscovered Gem.
It is located in an unpopulated village (Muratello) a couple miles south of Bergamo Airport. The hotel owners have developed the nearby streets and converted courtyards and buildings into different parts of the hotel. The entrance and driveway have the feel of a grand Italian villa, with large landscaped gardens. The Restaurant is the...

Booked through a website on the basis it had a spa and looked like it had a good restaurant. Spa, bar, restanurant in fact everything was closed as it was a Sunday and they seemed to think it strange that we may be hungry in the evening or perhaps like a drink on arrival. Having tried to order some drinks...
