Al Gallo is a very friendly and comfortable family run hotel in the charming and untouristy town of Tuscania. We were made very welcome and our room was spacious and comfortable although the decor was a bit eccentric. Everything was spotless including the modern bathroom. The Hotel Al Gallo is a nice small hotel. The rooms were clean and pleasantly furnished. Bath clean and well kept. Our big complaint is the astro-turf colored carpeting which detracts from the furnishings. The lobby areas were quite nice and the breakfast room charming. We stayed at the El Gallo because of the restaurant and because the hotel is only 2 hours away from the Rome airport. The staff speaks English and is exceptionally gracious. To get to the hotel parking lot, you drive on narrow, one-way cobblestone streets down a flight of stairs and around the corner to a lot behind the hotel.... More
